MOSCOW, March 13 — President Vladimir Putin donned military fatigues for a surprise visit to troops in Russia's western Kursk region yesterday where he ordered them to press their lightning advance and swiftly retake the rest of the area from Ukrainian forces.

JEDDAH, March 12 — The United States agreed yesterday to resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine after talks where Kyiv said it would accept a US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in its conflict with Russia, the countries said in a joint statement.
